Mrs. Betty Lou Lobdell, 51, of 4557 Glen Arm Drive, Speedway, and a native of Crawfordsville, died Sunday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. She had been a telephone operator for Methodist Hospital for 12 years. She was a member of the Crawfordsville Christian Church. Born Oct. 25, 1924, at Crawfordsville, she was a daughter of Otis Benson and Nora Belle Stump Hoffa. She married Fredrick G. Lobdell who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Beverly Ann Aldrich of Crawfordsville; a sister, Virginia Hightower of Speedway; a brother, Billy Hoffa of Brownsburg; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Conkle Speedway Chapel with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tuesday. - jlr
